Blood Donation Camp

Hello Everybody!
The 5th of November 2007 is one day which would always be remembered in the history of our college,CITM.The credit obviously being bagged by the sincere efforts put in by the teachers and students of the National Social Service Club. The Lioness Club of Sukriti,an established community run by our own Dr. Bhatia or rather Uncle Bhatia,as we all called him, made the day special, gracing the opening with his enthusiastic and inspiring words.

With about 500 students standing in the lawns, cheered and waited desperately for Uncle Bhatia to begin, his words inspired us all in the end.Unexpectedly, the words of Dr. Bhatia not only attracted the students but even the teachers were seen cheering and appreciating the efforts put in all the while. From the "shero shayari" to his personal life experiences, from criticising his wife to all the fun he had during his college days,he finally managed to make us all proud of we being a part of such a reputed Institute.

In the End,Papa Bhatia, discussed about the pros and cons of blood donation. How donating blood could actually save us from many ailments such as that of a heart attack,Diabetes etc. and how a regular donor could stay fit and healthy more than a non-donor which further brought the students to gather during the camp. How our donationg blood could save lives....How 3 families could be saved if even one student donated blood....How the diyas at this Diwali could be lit in many homes,in many villages, far and wide with a few drops of our blood. How we could show our love to the needy of our own nation...

The visit by The Club was to give a challenge to the students of the college, which we accepted and won over! The challenge being put up saying that the number of polybags carrying blood get over but the students donating do not, which actually happened!Students turned up in numbers for the donation which was organised and managed well by the members of the NSS Club. The camp was a huge success and we all miss our Uncle Bhatia who proved to be a role model for many. The NSS Club appreciated the efforts put in by all the volunteers along with a hearty thanks to The Lioness Club of Sukriti. The college promises to conduct such events more frequently.
Thank You All.

visit to UNNATI Gurgaon

Hello all
To be able to do good to the society we must be a part of it.With these intentions in mind we planned a visit to UNNATI which is AID Gurgaon chapter on Saturday (i.e 3rd nov) and the visit gave us lot more than amazing memories and joyous moments. The smiling faces of the kids there gave us the immense feeling of fulfillment.Have a nice look at the picture and you will understand what i mean...

friends forever

The majority of kids there were children of Migrant workers who were never imparted any kind of education untill few volunteers like SACHIN working in an MNC came forward and started teaching them.
Rest as they say is History.the latest achievement of the school was to get 4 kids admitted in the nearby Govt School. And we were lucky enough to witness this.
Interacting with he kids was great fun.Few of them were more than willing toco-operate but at the same time the class was not devoid of backbenchers who love to take the last seat and enjoy the show.We played "CHIDIYA UD" with them...and whosoever got eliminated from the game recited a poem for the rest.
Gudiya and sunita were good at that.
It was amazing to see small kids so confident and raring to conquer the world. one of the kid named Manikant had a very good grasping power.
we also made them draw "diyas and candles" explaining then the significance of the festival and told them to wish their parents"HAPPY DIWALI".

UNNATI -THE SCHOOL

raring to get clicked

they were more spontaneous than many of us.They wished us"HAPPY DIWALI " and said "BYE DIDI and BYE BHAIYA"to us when their school got over..
