hey Friends
Today we visited two places
1.An NGO called Educational and rehabilitation centre for the handicapped (ERC)
2.and SOS village
primarily to track down genuine NGOs so that we can provide them a helping hand in the form of funds or by volunteering as a guide and friend for the disabled .

But trust me it turned out to be a beautiful experience.AS soon as we entered ERC We were welcomed with a warm bear HUG by a cute girl who unfortunately lacked the power to speak. Her little moment of joy was so heart-warming that it left an indeliable imprint on my soul.
The NGO ,run by Ms Yogesh, is a home away from home for many abandoned and neglected handicapped children .Each child is given individual attention and taught what he requires the most.they have also employed physiotherapist to help the phsically challenged .These children are also imparted education depending on individual competence and are then placed in government schools .
These children loved our presence and even danced for us willingly.

The next stop was SOS village , an international organization spread in 8 acres ,where we were introduced to a totally new concept of VIRTUAL FAMILIES!!!The organization tracks down SINGLE/WIDOWED/DIVORCED females willing to start their lives afresh by giving them the responsibility of an abandoned child legally and transferring funds in their account every month.
These children go to school regularly and even do graduation all funded by SOS.
Apart from being a great learning experience the visit also made us aware of the basic requirements for better grooming of these children.
Overall a very satisfying and memorable day!!!
